Nepal Rastra Bank, the Central Bank of Nepal introduced Unified Directives 2014. This Unified Directives prevents Individual to acquire loan to purchase promoter share of bank and financial institutions (BFIs), makes mandatory for promoters and high-ranking officials of BFIs to declare their properties and covers Development Banks and Finance Companies to mark Money in bank and financial institutions and eases provision on margin lending.

Life Insurance Companies in Nepal
Insurance is a device which providing financial compensation to those who suffer from misfortune. In other words, insurance is the best means for security to human life and property from various risks.
History of Insurance in Nepal is not long. History shows the introduction of insurance company in Nepal as "Mal Chalani and Beema Company" started in 2004 B.S. It was later converted into “Nepal Insurance and Transport Co. Pvt. Ltd” in 2016 B.S and now named as Nepal Insurance. After the restoration of democracy, An Insurance Board (Beema Sansthan) was established to promote, facilitate and regulate the insurance companies of Nepal. According to Insurance Board there are 25 insurance companies in Nepal. Out of them 16 are non-life insurance companies, 8 are life insurance companies and one both life and non-life insurance company.

Debit Cards in Nepal
Debit card also know as Bank card is plastic card that provide cardholders electronic access to his/her own bank account. If there is amount in bank one can easily withdrawn money using this card or make payments on purchase using this card.
In Nepal, use of Debit card is increasing rapidly recent years. Almost all banks and many other financial institutions provide debit card facility to withdraw money from ATMs and make payment on purchase where service available. SCT Debit card is the most famous in Nepal followed by VISA, Mastercard and others. Almost all ATMs of the banks support these cards.
Recent days online shopping is growing, which also increase the importance of these cards. Since Credit cards are not easy to get for everyone, anyone can deposit some money on their bank accounts and access that money whenever, wherever they want. This card also reduces the robbery of money.
There are also some debit card fraud news around the news media. So we should be careful while using the debit card along with bank's safety instruction. Passwords are must be kept secret.
If you want to get a debit card, you can open an account in any of these commercial banks and you will get it easily.

Finance Companies in Nepal
Finance company is an organization that originates loans for both businesses and consumers. Much like a bank, a typical finance company acts as a lending entity by extending credit. However, the main difference between a bank and a finance company is that, unlike a bank, a finance company does not accept deposits from the public. Instead, a finance company may draw funding from banks and various other money market resources. But in case of Nepal, finance companies also a depository institution.
